Meet the antidote to your schlubby duffel.
The Go Bag is the slightly roomier, extra-sexy second edition of our timeless Journey Mini Duffel (fully funded in 2017 by hundreds of Kickstarter backers)!
Even with all the Journey’s rave reviews, there was an upgrade waiting in the wings. So we took our backers’ feedback to heart and perfected Michelle’s design into the classy carry-all you see before you today. Amen.
Choose from 2 woven accents
to make your Go Bag feel like home, no matter where you take it:
The bestselling option from the original Kickstarter. This classic blue really makes the rest of the bag “pop” (don’t tell Michelle we said that).
Punchy and bold, yet somehow still elegant. (Patting ourselves on the back for pulling that off, tbh.)
The Go Bag is designed for stylish rule-followers who live in fear of having their carry-on checked at the gate. (Us. We designed it for us.)
It easily fits the personal item restrictions of most major U.S. airlines. So you can pick on someone else, OK, Marsha?
Access the front, side, and laptop pockets without having to pull your whole bag out. Soft yet durable traction pads protect the bottom of your bag, so you don’t have to check for stray peanuts before shoving it under there.
Whether you’re checking email or binge-watching Ted Lasso, it’s just nice to have your laptop at arm’s reach.
Thanks to a smartly double-zippered top panel, you can see everything at a glance — without blindly rummaging, unpacking your whole bag on the airport floor, or being psychic. 🔮
The Go Bag straddles the line between “Ugh, not enough compartments” and “So many stupid pockets, I lost my sunglasses.”
We obsessed over the details
so you don’t have to.
Multiple carrying options & convenient compartments
will make the Go Bag your go-to go-bag.
Until you’ve had a duffel with a double zipper, you haven’t lived. This fan-favorite feature opens your bag up nice and wide, so it’s easy to pack, unpack, or just admire your great taste in clothes.
Clotheshounds take note: Stash your shoes in this dedicated shoe compartment to keep them away from your clean clothes. This roomy compartment fits two pairs of high heels or one big-ass pair of men’s shoes (up to size 13).
Pro tip: Traveling with multiple pairs of shoes? Who are you, the president? Wear your biggest or heaviest footwear on the plane, and pack your lightest pair. Thank us later, Your Eminence.
When we said the Go Bag could replace both your carry-on and your personal item, we weren’t lying. The built-in sleeve fits laptops up to 16”.
Want to give your computer more padding? Lift the sleeve from the inside, and pack more clothes underneath.
Because holding things is for people who don’t know the joy of a hot, fresh airport pretzel. Slide the strap over your suitcase handle so you can slip into the Auntie Anne’s line for a little treat. You’re welcome.
Oh, did we mention the Go Bag also has removable backpack straps? If your bag’s too heavy to carry after you fill it with bricks toys, then save your spine and wear it as a backpack.
Or sling it over your shoulders like a messenger bag with the adjustable, removable strap.
Room for all your questions.
In a word? Enough. There are two on the outside for quick access to things like chargers, pens, and your Kindle, and one in the inside to store your passport or other sensitive stuff.
For most people, the Weekender easily holds 2-3 days of outfits. Light packers can probably squeeze in 3-5 days of clothes. And if you’re an expert packer, you might be able to go up to a week.
Laptops up to 16” slide in easily. (If your laptop is bigger than 16”, it might be a desktop.)
The bottom is hard-padded polyester that acts like a hard shell, maintaining the bag’s shape.
You’ll also find traction pads on the bag bottom corners. This helps keep the bottom of your bag from touching gross ground gunk that could potentially stain or scratch it. And unlike metal feet, our traction pads won’t scratch any surface where you set down your bag.
The outer bag is made with a recycled, eco-friendly polyester. The handles and other accents are genuine leather, which holds up to long-term use and, like Meryl Streep, grows softer and more beautiful over time.
The interior is lined with a recycled nylon material.
The TL;DR: this is a bag you can feel good feeling good about.
Yep, this bag is TSA-approved as a carry-on.
While airlines don’t standardize their seat measurements (we’re just as annoyed as you), the Go Bag will fit under the vast majority of airline seats.
We’ve tested it on lots of flights, and haven’t yet found a plane yet with seats too small to fit the Go Bag. If you ever do have to gate-check it, let us know at hello@wearecitybred.com — because we’ll be super surprised.
We’re a small brand based in Austin, Texas, run by real humans. (Here’s a little secret: when you email customer service at hello@wearecitybred.com, you’ll probably be talking with one of our two co-founders.)

Apart from airplane food, flight delays, and bullsnatch “change fees” (looking at you, United) there’s nothing worse than traveling with a bag you don’t like.
That’s why every City Bred order is protected by our 60-Day Money Back Guarantee. If you’re not in love with your Go Bag, hit us up at hello@wearecitybred.com any time within 60 days for a fast, friendly, full refund.
We did our best to destroy this bag. We pulled on it. We ripped it. We used machines to destroy it. Basically, we did everything we could to find the Go Bag breaking points (and almost broke ourselves in the process).
Along with passing all of our self-designed tests, the Go Bag has also been independently lab-tested for all kinds of things like zipper strength, seam strength, abrasion resistance, emotional availability, and other stuff you didn’t even know you needed in a bag.
Every City Bred product starts as a handmade prototype in co-founder Michelle's workshop.
